We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position with a preference that the candidate be located anywhere within the Americas or Canada.
Pinata is looking for a high-quality, hands-on Sales Engineer with the right combination of technical and business experience to deliver stellar results selling the technical aspects of our platform to enterprise customers.
As our Sales Engineer, you’ll join forces with our Business Development team, evangelizing the Pinata platform and solutions to technical audiences in both initial sales calls and in post-sale onboarding calls. You’ll be responsible for discussing and demonstrating the product in a way that can be understood by the different ranges of audiences. You’ll be the technical expert during the sales cycle for new prospects and current customer upsells/renewals.
You’ll collaborate with our Business Development, Marketing, and Product teams to continually improve our process, including product demos, discovery process, solution best practices, sharing expertise/training, and guiding solution development.
Pinata leverages IPFS technology and operates in the web3 space, so it is highly preferred that candidates for this role have experience with both.
Help us close deals and grow our customer base
Collaborate with Business Development and Product to help companies across varying industries to understand and evaluate the technical capabilities of our products, helping to direct evaluations of our solutions to gain product fit consensus
Understand and interpret customer business goals, needs, and pains to deliver customized product demonstrations tailored towards those challenges
Design, validate, and document technical solutions and strategies to share with prospective customers
Collect and analyze feedback from prospective customers to influence the roadmap and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Business Development to meet our prospect’s business challenges while aligning with our internal business objectives.
Provide responses to RFPs and RFIs as needed
Have a deep understanding of Pinata’s data security policies
Ensure current and potential customer-facing security documentation is maintained for accuracy
2+ years of professional experience in a client-facing sales, pre-sales, consulting, or a technical architect role providing solutions to customers, preferably selling cloud solutions to marketing and/or sales organizations
Experience working with IPFS
Experience in the NFT space
Experience representing technical concepts to an audience of varying technical backgrounds
Experience integrating solutions using REST and web service APIs is also an advantage
Proficiency at learning new web-based software solutions
Ability to balance multiple competing priorities
Comfort with a fluid, fast-paced environment
A passion for problem-solving and a roll up your sleeves demeanor
Excellent written, verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Solidity smart contract experience
