Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated IT Operations Specialist to take charge of our corporate IT systems. You will be performing hands-on administrative tasks and developing new processes to ensure the efficient operation of our systems.

Illuvium Labs is an independent game development studio based in Dubai. We develop blockchain based games for the Illuvium DAO. We have developed a strong culture of independence with our team, preferring candidates who can articulate their own vision and goals. We operate almost entirely remotely, so each team member designs their own hours and work schedule. In the end, all that matters is the delivered product. We hire based on people’s abilities to adapt and change quickly, valuing underlying core abilities above specific skill sets.


  • Manage and administer corporate IT systems, including Google Workspaces and the Atlassian Product Suite.
  • Design and improve operational processes for activities such as employee onboarding, offboarding, access requests, and reporting.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Implement automated processes and manage technical resources as required.
  • Oversee the IT helpdesk, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of technical issues and user support queries.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures, aligning them with industry best practices and compliance standards.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure IT operations adhere to legal and ethical requirements.

Note: Starting as an individual contributor, the position is intended to grow into a role that equally balances management duties, team leadership, and ongoing individual contributions.

  • Proven experience in interacting with internal teams in a service or support capacity.

  • Demonstrates a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Proven track record of initiating and successfully driving new projects to completion.
  • Ability to set clear objectives, and systematically track progress towards these goals.
  • Experience in evaluating risks and benefits to make informed, strategic decisions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to take on varied tasks and responsibilities as needed by the team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge relevant to the IT field and a willingness to continuously learn new technologies.
  • Skilled in creative reasoning, consistently delivers fresh and innovative solutions to intricate issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks undertaken.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Call Centre or Help Desk environment.
