Futures Factory’s ambition is to be the accelerator for the most promising footwear creators, backing them with finance, web3 tools and our community.

Our team works daily to create a world where footwear creators have the resources, tools, and support they need to create their own inspiring and innovative footwear products, on their own terms.

We also strive to build an open and trusted platform that facilitates collaboration and provides creators with an opportunity to share their work with a larger audience.

We are now a team of 8 employees spread between Europe and the US seeking other web3 and sneakers enthusiasts to join us!

🎯 Mission

We are looking for a talented and experienced Tech Lead to join our team at Futures Factory. In this role, you will be working closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders to ensure that we have a clear product vision and a robust technological infrastructure to support our ambitious goals.

We will build together a collaboratively curated platform enabling designers and brands to launch their NFT projects and monetize their work in total autonomy with specific features for virtual and phygital sneakers (AR, presale campaigns, experiential utilities).

As a member of a small and talented team, you will have lots of responsibilities and opportunities.

📝 Main Tasks and Responsibilities

As a Tech Lead at Futures Factory, your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

1. Product Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with the CEO and other stakeholders to define and refine the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
2. Technical Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of the platform’s technical architecture, ensuring that it is scalable, secure, and performant. Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and best practices to maintain a cutting-edge infrastructure.
3. Team Management and Collaboration: Manage and mentor the technical team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the tech team and other departments.
4. Roadmap and Prioritization: Develop and maintain a detailed product and technical roadmap, outlining specific milestones, deadlines, and resources required to achieve our goals. Establish frameworks for prioritizing features and tasks, focusing on the most impactful items
5. Quality Assurance and Performance Monitoring: Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the platform’s reliability and stability. Monitor platform performance and proactively address any issues or bottlenecks.

✅ Requirements

• Proven experience as a CTO, Tech Lead, or similar leadership role, preferably within a startup environment
• Strong background in web development, with experience in web3, blockchain, and NFT technologies
• Experience with scalable architecture design and implementation, including microservices, APIs, and cloud-based infrastructure
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams. Being a problem-solver and having a positive attitude.

💌 Preferred Qualifications

Already worked on a web3 project (NFT, DeFi, platform or else), on a traditional marketplace, e-commerce or 3D/AR project.
An interest for sneakers, fashion, and the creator economy is a (big) plus

Testing – methodology, logic and technical problem solving
If possible, 1 on-site meeting with the team in Paris (or another remote interview)
