Wynd is an early stage startup empowering access to public web data. Wynd Network enables access to public web data through decentralized data scraping tools such our first product, Grass.

Grass is a data layer that allows users to contribute to the development of AI.

As a Cryptography Scientist, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and implementation of new cryptographic algorithms and protocols. You will work with other researchers to develop secure communication methods and the protection of sensitive data against emerging threats. Your work will directly impact the security posture of our products and services, ensuring the highest standards of privacy and integrity for our clients.

Your day-to-day:

  • Research, design, and implement cryptographic algorithms and protocols.
  • Analyze current cryptographic schemes for vulnerabilities and propose enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptographic solutions into products.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in the field of cryptography and assess their applicability to our needs.
  • Publish research papers and contribute to scientific knowledge in the field of cryptography.
  • Provide expert guidance on cryptographic standards, guidelines, and best practices.

What Experience You Need:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, with a focus on cryptography.
  • Proven track record of research in cryptography, demonstrated through publications, patents, or developed algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hash functions, digital signatures, and cryptographic protocols.
  • Experience with cryptographic libraries and tools (e.g., OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-experts.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java.
  • Strong understanding of post-quantum cryptography.
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptographic principles behind consensus mechanisms.
