Job Description
Elwood is seeking a Compliance Monitoring and Testing Officer to join the Compliance Team. This position will play a vital role in delivering the control framework for an expanding business. The candidate will perform a wide variety of activities, including testing, reporting, coordination and other assurance functions.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance Monitoring and Testing professional to join a dynamic business taking charge of building and implementing a robust monitoring and testing plan. The role holder must be excited about wanting to work in the digital assets industry and demonstrate a passion for the role.
Role Responsibilities
- Effectively complete periodic and ad hoc monitoring reviews and systematically report weaknesses identified alongside potential solutions.
- Ensure the annual compliance monitoring plan is performed in a timely and effective manner ensuring all planned monitoring reviews are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Agree a clear plan of action for resolution of all identified issues within agreed timescales and ensure that all issues are resolved as agreed.
- Effectively implement the Business Risk Assessment and Risk Appetite process.
- Continue to enhance Compliance testing methodology and associated procedures.
- Create, and maintain the Compliance monitoring logs and review of the effectiveness of the monitoring.
- Assist with Audit preparation requests
Qualifications / Knowledge
- Demonstrable experience in a Compliance Monitoring & Testing role preferably gained within the Compliance monitoring function in financial services.
- A good knowledge of Financial Services and AML regulations
- 3-5 years monitoring and testing experience.
- Must be a self-starter, able to implement the programme under management oversight. Drive and determination to succeed is essential.
- Strong team player and able to work with a range of internal stakeholders
- Motivation to succeed and deliver results in line with expectations
- Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail
